A private family foundation supporting work in underserved and diverse communities, primarily in Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, and Tennessee. We are especially committed to improving the health, welfare, and educational or otherwise positive development of people of color, people with disabilities, and veterans.

Grants

Our grantmaking process primarily focuses on our rapid response application cycle (information here, currently closed to new applications), but we sometimes also review letters of inquiry from organizations with urgent needs in our target geographic areas, including:

* Michigan:
— Great Lakes Bay Region (+ Isabella County),
— Washtenaw County.
* Illinois/Iowa:
— Greater Chicago Area,
— Lake County,
— Quad Cities.
* Tennessee:
— Greater Memphis Area,
